Mighty Tigers Football Club has unveiled Gerald Phiri Senior as their coach for the 2019 season. The unveiling took place at Limbs Country Club where Tigers have started their preparations for the season.

Technical Director for Tigers FC, Robin Alufandika said they had agreed terms with Phiri.
“finally we have agreed with him to take charge of our team as he is not new to us having been coach for the club in 2016 and he knows what the Tigers are all about”, Alufandika said.

Phiri said he is happy to have been given the job and is optimistic to deliver.
“Am happy they have considered me and I want to try and shape Tigers FC into a team that will compete and not just participate in tournaments, with our main target being a top four finish in the TNM Super league”, Phiri said.

Tigers Football Club had Richard Fosko as their coach last season and have roped in Phiri who has been jobless since he parted ways with The Flames mid 2018. In the past he has coached Big Bullets, Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers.
