Nyasa Big Bullets football club and Malawi national football team defender Charles Petro left the country on Tuesday, 14 January 2020 for Moldova to attend trials.
According to a statement released by the 2019 TNM super league champions, the Nyasa Big Bullets reserves graduate is to undergo a month-long trial at the European side FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
Charles Petrol was instrumental in the title defence for the People’s team. He managed to fill in the defence gap left by captain John Lanjesi who was injured and his performance on the local scene earned him regular national team call ups.
Reports also indicate that the young star was also to attend trials at South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Polokwane City together with Be Forward Wanderers defender Peter Cholopi who left the country on Sunday.
