Football Association of Malawi (FAM) incumbent president Walter Nyamilandu has launched his manifesto ahead of the FA’s elections on 14 December this year.
In his manifesto titled raising the bar, Nyamilandu said he is right candidate to take Malawi football to the next level.
“I have been president at FAM for 15 years and I know what is needed in the game of football to make improvement. I believe I have not let the national down that’s why am seeking another term of office”, Nyamilandu said.
Once elected into office, Nyamilandu has promised to give the Chilomoni stadium which is currently for FAM to the super league of Malawi (SULOM).
Nyamilandu further said he will introduce flames trust and make sure the flames qualify for the 2026 world cup.
His next five years in office will also see Nyamilandu giving FAM affiliates a subvention of k10 million and will give money as starter pack to all teams taking part in CAF competitions.
Walter Nyamilandu has been FAM president since 2004 and will compete for the FA’s top position against James Mwenda, Alufeyo Chipanga, Moses Mkandawire and Balawala Vingula.
