Mzuni football club has asked Super League of Malawi (SULOM) to give them their compensation to fulfill this week’s fixture in the TNM super league.
In may Mzuni was supposed to play Kamuzu Barracks but the later didn’t show up at Dedza stadium as they were on security duties during the tripartite elections.
In an interview, general secretary for Mzuni Donex Chilonga said they are waiting for the money.
“We talked to SULOM and we agreed to play the match only if they compensate us with the money we spent prior to the match. We talking of k400 000 which should help us cover the expenses to fulfill the fixture. Everyone knows we are struggling financially”, he said.
Chilonga further said SULOM should communication to them in due time .
” SULOM should communication to us in due time if they are compensating us or measures put in play to be followed”, he said.
This weekend Mzuni is expected to play the 2017 FISD challenge cup winners at the Kasungu stadium.
