President of the Republic of Malawi Professor Arthur Peter Muthalika has promised to build two Stadiums for two Blantyre rivals Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.
The president made the remarks at Chirimba in the commercial city of Blantyre where he had a whistle stop tour and has urged Blantyre City Council officials to allocate land for the stadiums to be built.
The two teams, Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers are said to be homeless as they do not own a stadium. Both use the Kamuzu stadium as their home ground and at times are forced to go a long distance as far as Balaka or Mulanje for a stadium once they have a match. Once the stadiums are built, it will bring a huge relief to both camps as currently the owners of every stadium they use take 25% off the gate collections that have been made on that particular day as they will then take into account a large share of the gate collections as other stakeholders will still be having their share.
Muthalika has also promised to build another Mjamba stadium at Mjamba Freedom Park in the same commercial city of Blantyre.
