Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has appointed Peter Mponda as caretaker coach for the under 20 national football team.
According to the FA, Mponda will be assisted by Audrey Makonyola and Christopher Nyambose.
Former Silver Strikers goalkeeper Sibusiso Padambo has been appointed goalkeepers trainer.
Aubrey Nankhuni and Victor Jobo are team manager and team doctor respectively.
The former flames captain will lead the junior flames at the 2019 cosafa youth championship in Lusaka, Zambia between 4-14 December.
Mponda is the assistant coach for TNM super league side Nyasa Big Bullets. He also worked as flames assistant coach for two years under Belgian coach Ronny Van Geneugden.
