Karonga United says they have had a first round full of ups and downs and are considering to buy more players ahead of the second round of the TNM super league.

Karonga United which lost to Silver Strikers in the finals of the Airtel top 8 have failed to collect points away from home.

Chairman for the club, Alufeyo Chipanga Banda said the team needs reinforcements.

“The first round was with ups and downs but that’s expected in the game of football. It’s been hard for us to win away which is worrisome. We also lost our midfielder Azizi Mwakifuna to Bullets which was a big blow to us.

“we have been able to play good football but scoring goals has been our major problem. We will need to bring in new striker. We are also considering of signing some defenders as we only have five defenders “, said Chipanga.

Karonga United has finished the first round on position 11 with 16 points from 15.
