The Malawi under 23 national football team defeated a Dutch premier league side RODA JC by a goal to 0 in a match played on Wednesday afternoon to register their second win in Belgium.
In a match played at Parkstad Limburg Stadion the Junior Flames were a more composed side as they were more hungry in the attacking third but luck was not on their side as it was still goalless at half time.
In the second half, the Junior Flames continued to attack RODA JC no wonder captain Chimwemwe Idana scored the lone goal for the match to the delight of assistant coach Peter Mponda.
” We had a good game though we are not really pleased with our Play as we feel our boys can perform better than the way they are doing but with the win the boys have gained confidence in themselves that they can do better and it’s even a promising to us the technical panel ahead of our preparations towards the Zambia game “, Mponda said.
The win over RODA JC was the second consecutive win for the jnr flames after defeating Genk VV on Monday evening.
