The Malawi under 23 football national team had a humiliating afternoon on Monday as they lost by 3 goals to 1 in the hands of a Belgium premier league side OHL.
The Jnr Flames with a changed side to the one that started in their first match, conceited a goal in the 27th minute before Chimwemwe Idana pulled level for the flames in the 33rd minute to make the game level at half time.
OHL came a more aggressive side in the second half when they scored 2 quick goals in the 68th minute and through a penalty in the 71st minute.
Coach for the Jnr Flames Meke Mwase said the side is still in the learning process and they expect to build a strong side.
” It was a good game and slowly but sure we are improving. What is worrisome is we are losing games but for sure we will fix out things as we are not looking at the score line but at building a strong side to face Zambia “, Mwase said.
This was the second game for the Under 23 football team to lose a training match in Belgium as they lost to STVV in their first game by 3 goals to 1.
