TN Stars Football Club striker Stain Davie has returned back home after his deal to play in the Mozambican Premier League hit a snag.

Davie who was TN Stars top goal scorer in the the teams first season in the TNM Super League with 13 goals signed a year loan deal with Mozambique Premier League side EHN Vilankhula last month.

Speaking in an interview, TN Starts Football Club Chairperson Elias Yasin said Davie is back with the Kasungu based team and has already started training with the team a head of the 2019 season.

“Stain Davie is back from Mozambique where he signed a loan deal with a Premier League team of that country and his coming back has nothing to do with his performance on the ground but he is back because his deal failed to materialise on transfer date line and that he could not be able to play for the club as their was need to sign documents to enable him play in the foreign land”, said Yasin.

Yasin also said that TN Stars preparations for the 2019 season are going on well and they expect to do better than last year.

“We have been doing our preparations for the fourth coming season and everything is going on well. So far we have not sold or bought any new player as TN Stars and we have all the players that played for us in the 2018 season but we have some players who are doing their trials at our club and upon the recommendations of the technical panel that they be signed,  we will not hesitate to bring them into our camp.

“We performed well in our debut season where we learn and achieved a lot from it and that should help us to do more better than we did in our first year in the TNM Super League and we expect to finish on a better position than last year”, Yasin said.

TN Stars Football Club finished on position 9 in their debut season in the country’s top flight league and will see themselves taking part in the 2019 Airtel Top 8 Cup, filling the slot left by Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club which is serving a barn not to play in the Cup this year.
