Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club has humiliated Civil Sporting Club 6-0 in a TNM Super League match played on Sunday afternoon at the Kamuzu Stadium handing the civil servants their second defeat of the season.
From Kick off, Bullets looked to be a more organized side and were searching for an early goal. Hassan Joke headed home a Chiukepo Msowoya cross in the 2nd minute putting the people’s team in the lead.
The early goal helped the the home team to settle down as they displayed good football from the defence and midfielder Mike Mkwate outclassed the civil servants and helped his team to go into attack positions and Civil defenders had a tough job on the afternoon.
In the 17th minute Gomezgani Chirwa made a good run on the right hand before setting neatly setting Chiukepo Msowoya who made no mistake to double the lead.
In the 19th minute Civil Sporting were forced to make a substitution introducing John Dambuleni for Damiano Kunje who was injured and the team look to be struggling on the left had side no wonder Bullets right back Gomezgani Chirwa was at freedom to be overlapping and send dangerous balls into the box that Isaac Msiska was introduced for Willard Dickson.
With Bullets enjoying the lions share of possession, Precious Sambani made it three after heading home a corner kick in the 37th minute, before Hassan Kajoke scored his second of the afternoon for Nyasa Big Bullets to lead 4-0 at half time.
In the second half the area 9 team had nothing to lose and level their play and attacked Bullets goal area more in the first ten minutes but Rabson Chiyenda in goals for Bullets and a well disciplined defence lead by captain John Lanjesi frustrated the visitors.
Nyasa Big Bullets made a double substitution bringing in Peter Banda and Patrick Phiri for Dalitso Sailesi and Hassan Kajoke a thing that made the team to regain his attacking pace as the two combined well with Mike Mkwate.
Patrick Phiri registered his name on the score sheet in the 61st minute before substitute Righteous Banda who came in for Precious Sambani hammered the last nail in the 81st minute to seal a 6-0 winner over Civil Sporting Club.
After the game team manager for Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club James Chilapondwa said the team is shaping up in the way coach wants it to be.
“We thank God we have won the game and we thank the boys for they worked hard but we admit it wasn’t an easy game as Civil Sporting is also a good side It’s all about utilizing the created chances and score goals for you to win games and the boys seem to be adapting to the play of our coach Calisto Pasuwa who has been with the team for four to five months now,” Chilapondwa said.
Civil Sporting Club coach Franco Ndawa was disappointed to return to the central region empty handed.
“Tough lucky to us as we have lost all our games this weekend but congratulations to our friends having won this afternoon,”
“We have to go back to the drawing board and work on the mistakes the team created over the weekend as we play our next games,”said Ndawa.
The win takes Nyasa Big Bullets to position two with ten points from four games while Civil Sporting Club return to the central region empty handed having also lost to Tigers on Saturday and are now on fifth position with nine points from five games.
In another match played on Sunday afternoon Chitipa United has denied Be Forward Wanderers Football Club to return to the southern region with six points as it ended goalless after 90 minutes at the Karonga Stadium.
The draw means Wanderers return to the Southern region with four points having won against Karonga United on Saturday and are now on position eight from four games with eight points.
At the Chitowe Stadium, Dwangwa United drew 1-1 against Mlatho Mponela football club as it also ended in a goalless draw between Masters Security Football Club and Silver Strikers Football Club at the Dedza Stadium.
