Nyasa Big Bullets has roped in the services of former Flames captain Peter Mponda as assistant coach.

Mponda who played for the club and helped it in the CAF champions league in 2005 has signed a 9 months contract.

Albert Chigoga who is the clubs administrative director has confirmed of the development.

“We have appointed him as the teams assistant coach. He has worked with the national team and we fee that experience can help the club transform its current form”, he said.

Nyasa Big Bullets has been without an assistant coach since October last year after firing Elia Kananji. Calisto Pasuwa has been working with Heston Munthali and Swadick Sanudi who are strikers and goalkeepers trainer respectively.

Mponda was part of the Flames technical panel during Ronny Van Geneuden era. He also coached Wizard football club in the TNM super league.
