Nyasa Big Bullets are planning of hosting an international tournament at the end of next month with four teams involved.
The TNM Super League Champions have already invited teams from Zimbabwe and Mozambique while the other one will be a local team.
Bullets Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Fleetwood Haiya confirmed the news saying they are finalizing the plan.
“we are looking at having two local and two foreign teams. For cost and logistical purposes, we are planning to include our friends Be Forward Wanderers because they are based here in Blantyre, but if for some reasons they will not be able to take part, we will extent the invitation to Silver Striker”, Haiya said.
“we are waiting to hear from Costa Do Sol, a Mozambican club we would want to be part of the tournament and the y said they will let us know if they are coming or not before the 6th of February”.
The CEO also said they are to use tournament as a preparation for next season.
“As Nyasa Big Bullets we want to play in CAF Champions League again this season that’s why we want this tournament to involve teams from other countries that play in CAF tournament as a way of our preparations”, Haiya said.
In 2018, Nyasa Big Bullets also played in the CAF Champions League but failed to progress to the next round having lost to a Kenyan side Gor Mahia 5- 4 on post-match penalties after it ended one all on aggregate.
