The 32nd edition, 2019 Africa Cup of Nations organized by Confederation of African Football (CAF) is scheduled to be held from 21 June to 19 July 2019. For the first time the tournament will be played over June and July, until now it has been played during January and February.
The tournament, initially scheduled to be hosted by title holders Cameroon for the first time since 1972 were stripped of the rights to host the 2019 tournament due to delayed delivery of infrastructure and Boko Haram. Egypt was selected as the replacement.
