Malawi national women’s football team coach Abel Mkandawire says he is happy with how the team’s preparations are going on.
The She Flames have been in camp for two weeks preparing to meet Kenya later this month in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.
Mkandawire says so far so good and the girls are in good shape for the encounter.
“Our preparations are going on well and the girls are in good shape. Since we participated at this year’s cosafa tournament the girls have good fitness levels which is a plus to us”.
” We are analyzing a video of how Kenya plays so that we have a good plan to win the match “, Mkandawire said.
The She Flames mentor further said that the Chawinga sisters are expected to be in camp next week.
” Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga should be joining us next week. They are in top form for their clubs and we expect them to transform that to the national team”.
The Chawinga sisters did not make it to the cosafa tournament where the She Flames bowed out of the competition in the group stages.
