The Council of Southern Africa Football Association (COSAFA) has released fixtures for the group stage games of the 2019 COSAFA tournament which will start on 25th May in Durban, South Africa and will be played at two Stadiums, Prince Magogo and King Zwelithini.
In the released fixtures ,Comoros will play against Mauritius in the kick off game of the tournament as they are in Group A at the King Zwelithini Stadium before Angola play against Eswatini later at the same venue.
The fixture shows the Malawi National football team which is in group B at this year’s tournament starting the competition a day later after kick off against Seychelles at the King Zwelithini Stadium before meeting Namibia and Mozambique on 28th and 30th May at the same venue.
Winners of the group stages will join defending champions Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa and guest Uganda who are seeded to start the competition in the quarter final stages as they have a better FIFA ranking than the teams in the group stages and the quarter finals will start on 1 June.
Malawi has not yet started preparations for the tournament and is yet to release names of players to go at this year’s tournament .
