Africa is an amazing place. Made up of 54 countries, the most spoken language is Arabic, hottest Continent, largest dessert and of course the most beautiful people. Here are a few things I bet you don’t know about Africa.
(1) The Victoria Lake is the largest lake in Africa, and the second largest freshwater lake in the world.
(2) There are over 3,000 protected areas in Africa, including 198 Marine Protected Areas, 50 Biosphere Reserves, and 129 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
(3) The South African Rovos Rail is considered the most luxurious train in the world.
(4). Africa has the second largest population in the world, at about one billion people. The total African population is approximately 14.72% of the world’s population (as recorded in 2009).
